A Festive Evening with Alberta’s First Responders: Our Time at the AFRA Holiday Mixer
At Garett Martin Mortgages, we’re committed to supporting our community—and this past weekend, we had the privilege of attending the Alberta First Responders Association (AFRA) Holiday Mixer at Blackjacks Roadhouse in Nisku. It was an incredible evening filled with festive cheer, meaningful connections, and a powerful reminder of the importance of mental health initiatives.
The event featured a lively Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, live music by The Red Cannons, and delicious appetizers. It wasn’t just about fun, though—proceeds from the evening went toward supporting AFRA's vital mental health and suicide prevention programs for Alberta’s first responders.
Connecting with first responders and their families was a humbling experience. Their dedication to keeping our communities safe inspires us, and we’re proud to be part of an event that directly impacts their well-being.
